Soul Vaults with David Southway
Thursdays 9pm (WST) 10.30pm (Central) 11pm (Eastern)
David Southway’s broadcasting career started with the BBC in 1970, and from there he worked with many UK commercial stations. His love for broadcasting and specifically the soul genre has never wained.
David says “It is a genre I grew up with from working in clubs prior to broadcasting the desire and love of it is still there. I was asked a few years ago if I would be interested in producing and presenting a soul specific show. Well thanks for the opportunity I thought, that’s where the idea for the show came from”.
“It isn’t just a show crammed full of Classic Soul, Motown and Northern soul. The strap line is ‘providing the stories behind the songs and the artists’. We have, Lost Motown songs, Unsung soul heroes, token reggae as well as what we call Soul, and Motown royalty”.
Soul Vaults is 2 hours of the best soul on the radio.
